What’s with the name?
Charbox Designs
Reminiscent of Pandora’s box, an ancient Greek myth shrouded in mystery, the name CharBox Designs follows a similar logic, whereby the box itself instigates curiousity to see what creative innovations are being concocted inside that black box (charbox, not only has my short name in it, but also reffers to a charred box) from where light exudes in its three main colours:
- Red, for interior and architectural design
- Green, for urban and public space design
- Blue, for product and furniture design
This leaves us with one final question:
Where did the purple come from then?
I left the green out of CharBox Design’s main colour scheme and replaced it with the mergent colour formed when red, (colour of vigour), and blue (colour of calmness) mix together to create purple, a mysterious colour that encourages creativity and imagination. The fusion of red and blue also goes well with the human eye as it is used in stereoscopic imagery to create the perception of depth and immersion.
